At first glance you may ask yourself, “Is that a frog stuck inside of an ink bottle?"
This question is normally followed by, "Why is a frog stuck in an ink bottle?" or more
importantly "What kind of company has a logo with a frog stuck in an ink bottle?" We
were hoping you would ask and don't worry we hear those questions a lot. Frog Legs
Ink is a new children's book publisher in the industry and we don't mind if we stand
out a bit...in-fact we are quite proud of it because unlike many publisher we do all of
our binding and printing in the USA, locally in Michigan when we can. Our company was
started not in a board room but came into existence from the minds of artists and
writers. Our test markets are librarians, mothers and you guessed it children, we like
their input on our titles and they are the VIP’s when it comes to early copies and
reviews.
We publish fun and humorous stories for children that are visually appealing to a wide
age group, many of titles are made with art supplies commonly found in schools...we do
this to show children the potential in what they use.. An example is Out of the
Nursery, the interior of the book was done is scratch paper, a material in almost all
art departments.
Books are more than a business to us, libraries are more than buildings to us. When you
read, you escape, you learn, you become...and we are happy to be apart of that. Yes, we
are a small publisher but you know what they say about small packages...if not you can
look it up at the library. As for the part about the frog his name is Louie and why he's
in the ink bottle...well that's a long story whose ISBN will be assigned shortly.
